Materials:

🎅Red yarn (Santa suit)
🎅White yarn (beard, trim)
🎅Skin-tone yarn
🎅Small amount of black yarn (belt/eyes)
🎅3–3.5 mm crochet hook
🎅Fiberfil
🎅Yarn needle
🎅Scissors
🎅Optional: small bead or embroidery for eyes, ribbon for hanging

 

HEAD (Skin colour):

🎄Magic ring, 6 sc (6)
🎄2 sc in each st (12)
🎄Sc 1, inc around (18)
🎄Sc around for 2 rounds (18)
🎄Sc 1, dec around (12)
🎄Dec around (6)
🎄Stuff lightly, fasten off.

 

BEARD (White yarn):

🎅 Attach yarn under head.
🎅Ch 10
🎅Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc
🎅Fasten off and shape slightly while sewing.

BODY (Red yarn):

🎄Attach yarn to bottom of head.

🎄Ch 2, 12 hdc around (12)

🎄 Hdc inc around (24)

🎄Hdc 1, inc around (36)

🎄Hdc around (36)

🎄Switch to white yarn: hdc around (trim)

🎄Fasten off.

BELT (Black yarn – optional):

🎅Surface crochet a line around the body

🎅Add a small white stitch as buckle

 

ARMS (Make 2 – Red):

🎄Magic ring 6 sc

🎄Sc around (6) for 4 rows

🎄Switch to white yarn, sc 1 row

🎄Fasten off, lightly stuff, sew to sides.

 

HAT (Red yarn):

🎅Magic ring 6 scInc around (12)

🎅Sc 1, inc around (18)

🎅Sc around for 3 rows

🎅Switch to white yarn, sc around (trim)

🎅Fasten off. 

Pom-pom:

 🎄Magic ring, 8 sc, fasten off
 🎄Sew to hat tip.

 

HANGER: Attach a loop of white yarn or ribbon at top of hat.
